What’s at stake:

The Superior Court Clerk’s Office is critical infrastructure – necessary for the operation of our justice system, real estate records, and various business activities.

If you have to interact with the clerk’s office regularly, or you’ve caught the news recently, you probably recognize that the office has experienced a crisis of leadership over the past 8 – 12 months.

The previous clerk (Tina Robinson) resigned mid-term last summer, leaving a massive backlog jamming up the system.

The new clerk’s (Che Alexander) first big test came during Trump’s indictment last summer.

While the grand jury was still deliberating, she mistakenly released a copy of the criminal charges.

Her error allowed Trump’s lawyers to attack Prosecutor Fani Willis’ credibility, and Trump used it to claim the charges were rigged and pre-determined.

So what did Che do? She lied. She lied to everyone, claiming she didn’t know how it happened, and she let the media think the release was a hack.

When the media kept asking questions, she then had to walk back her initial explanation for the snafu:

Systems actually hacked:

In January 2024, the office experienced a debilitating ransomware attack which they were ill equipped to handle.

The hack jammed up the court system and the recording of real estate and business records. Months later, this is what still greeted visitors to the Clerk’s website:

The poor response continued to affect the daily operation of the court system weeks later.

Real estate transactions were also put in jeopardy.

It’s time to replace the incumbent with someone who can get the job done
